You are looking at a 1988 Chevy Silverado 1500. If your one of those people who don't need to drive the 30,000 dollar fancy rigs, this may be for you. This is a 4x4 Silverado with a 350 engine with only 173K showing on the odometer. I had one of these trucks when I was younger and it had over 300,000 on it. The owner says the 4x4 works great along with the transmission. The truck has been driving very minimally for the past 2 years but it starts up and seems to run pretty darn well. The box is a little rusty as you can see but still a great hunting, farm, wood hauling or everyday truck. It has power steering so you can have one arm around the girl when you are driving and still steer with ease. The heater controller inside the truck is bad and there was a toggle switch wired for the heater but after sitting so long it doesn't work. This could just be that something came unhooked or became corroded. The rear view mirror needs to be glued back on and the windshield has a crack as seen in the pictures. Two of the tires have very slow leaks, but otherwise are in good shape. The radio is aftermarket and don't work but that seems like an easy fix to me. The drivers side door doesn't lock and the tabs are two years out dated. The front shocks are not the best. The owner wanted me to list all the issues it has which I would really appreciate if I would the new buyer for this beautiful gem. The truck can be seen along Hwy 42 in Elgin during the duration of the auction. Winning bidder is only reasonable for the bid amount and the buyers premium, no other fees added.
